Taitō (対等) comes from Japanese, meaning “equivalent”, a word that captures
the shape of balancing volumes.

One of our key principles is a non-standard approach to form, where simplicity is combined with a distinct individuality. The aim was to create a solid, reliable structure with a comprehensible design, such as a square + cylin- der merge.

The initial design of Taitō Poufs was planned as two size models. One supports the other in composition, each equally contributing to the surrounding space.
